Building a platform to enable warmer, healthier homes.

About DREam

Dashboard for landlords and housing managers to track renovations for 2025/30 EPC compliance.

This cloud-based software enables building owners and energy consultants to assess and improve energy performance across entire portfolios. As a key component of IRT (Infrared Thermal Imaging) surveys, it streamlines energy efficiency retrofits by providing data-driven insights, optimising retrofit planning, and facilitating access to funding opportunities. Designed to drive sustainable impact, the platform helps transform buildings into greener, more efficient spaces with precision and ease.

The Challenge

Optimising Energy Efficiency Through Smart Building Analysis

Seedable Studio was tasked with redesigning the DReam dashboard to enhance usability and accessibility for its users. Alongside this, the team was responsible for developing software that enables users to visualise the impact of various energy solutions on the efficiency and performance of their homes. The challenge was to present complex data in a clear and intuitive way, ensuring that users could easily interpret insights without requiring technical expertise.

Our Solution

UX/UI Design

We enhanced the product design to ensure users could access key information at a glance while also providing the option to request new features for their dashboard—helping to generate valuable customer insights.

Initially, Seedable Studio collaborated closely with the IRT team to gather customer feedback through testing and bug reports. This feedback became a key driver in the decision to develop an automated test suite, improving efficiency and reliability.

After developing the DReam product UI, it became clear that it needed a distinct identity separate from its parent company, IRT Surveys. To achieve this, Seedable Studio designed a new logo and created a mini brand identity tailored specifically for the product.

Software Engineering

For a project of this scale, a test-driven approach was essential to ensure stability and maintainability. In this case, it supported refactoring while also identifying potential issues early, reducing the risk of problems during beta testing.

By following this method, Seedable Studio successfully reduced the existing codebase from 750,000 lines to just over 10,000—achieving this with minimal disruption to end users. As a result, the system became significantly easier to maintain and enhance, saving both time and resources.

  • The quality of work is first rate, the staff understands our needs, wants and pressures without having to explain it too much and the team are really nice people to work with.
