We were recently featured in the April/May 2025 edition of Wales Business Insider, as part of their startup guide/ Partners in Progress. The article highlighted a few reflections from our journey at Seedable Studio, but as always, the full picture is a bit more layered.

So here’s the uncut version, what we do, how we work, and the advice, partnerships and principles that have shaped us so far.

What We Do

Seedable Studio validates, designs and builds digital solutions for changemakers in the renewable energy and social impact space. Our work blends human-centred design with sustainable, scalable tech.

What Makes Us Different

We don’t just offer agency support. We become long-term technical partners. That means working closely with a small number of clients, on a monthly or retainer basis embedding ourselves into their teams and goals. Our clients stick with us because we invest in their success. As a team, we’ve been working with the same core clients for over five years now.

Where We Are Now

Seedable has been operating for six months, but our team has worked together for five years. We’re based in Cardiff and work fully remotely across the UK. So while the brand is new, we’re a proven team with a strong foundation. We’re based in Cardiff and fully remote across the UK, with a close-knit team of seven.

Our Approach to Growth

We do plan to grow, but with intention. We’re focused on building long-term partnerships, not chasing quick wins. We take a boutique approach and also develop our own products, which means growth is more about depth than scale.  In the next couple of years, we’re aiming to expand the team slightly to keep delivering for our clients while dedicating time to work on the products we believe in.

Mentors, Advisers and Investors

We work closely with a business mentor who helps us continually refine our approach to product validation. It’s a core part of our work and we treat it as an ongoing learning process. Our investors bring valuable insights from the gaming and renewable energy sectors, and we’ve gained a lot from their experience.

We’re also collaborating with Innovation Strategy on one of our flagship products. Their support has already made a big difference.

Finding the Right People

Some of our advisors and investors came through community networks. Others came through professional connections or even clients. If you focus on doing good work and building strong relationships, the right people tend to find you.

The Best Advice I’ve Received

“Look after your people, but don’t be afraid to let them look beyond your walls. If what you’ve built is strong and rooted in real values, they’ll see the difference for themselves.”

That advice has shaped the way we lead. We go the extra mile for our team, but we want them to feel it themselves, not just hear it.

Financial Resilience

We rely on retainers and long-term projects to create financial stability. That base has allowed us to secure investment and explore new opportunities to support the innovative products we’re building.

Moving into New Markets

Our work in renewable energy has naturally expanded into social impact and education, largely through referrals and shared values. We also dedicate time to charitable work with purpose-led brands, which helps us support change across different sectors.
